Add-On Policies

The Add-On policies are optional policies that can be "added" to one of the main basic policies listed above (Domestic Policies, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and International), for more comprehensive coverage. These Add-On policies cannot be bought on their own.
  • Pairs & Sets: This supplemental policy provides coverage for an entire set even if a single item within that set is damaged. This coverage is for items that can ONLY be purchased as a pair or set. For example, a vanity set containing a dresser with a vanity mirror. If the mirror is damaged beyond repair, the entire value of the set will be covered— not just the mirror.
  • Electrical Derangement: This supplemental policy provides coverage for mechanical and electrical items that have suffered internal damage, however show no external or physical damage. Under a basic policy, this type of claim would be denied because there is no apparent physical damage to the item. With this add-on policy, goods will be covered for any internal damages that have occurred during the move. The mover must note at origin that the item(s) is in good working condition.
  • Storage: This supplemental policy provides coverage for goods remaining in storage after the basic policy has expired (usually 60-90 days). Also known as a policy extension, this policy extends the basic policy for as long the goods are in storage. Renewal must be done on a monthly or periodic basis, prior to the expiration of the coverage.
